“Welcome to golden country” is a sound reactive installation that makes use of Orwell’s novel 1984. The basin is a sound-reactive water pool that when irrigated by touch produces sound, this accompanied by reactive projection produces an eerie sense of space. The objective of the work is to create a reactive and engaging installation that illustrates the struggle of dreaming of a better but fundamentally unachievable reality.
